Installation work scope consisted of a new 7,900 lf, 6″ diameter buried gas pipeline from Buccaneer’s Kenai Loop #1 Well Pad north of the city of Kenai, through the town to the Marathon distribution line.  There were four (4) horizontal directional drill locations, two (2) road crossings and numerous driveway/parking lot crossings. Additional work was added to complete the tie-in piping from the metering skid to the main distribution pipeline.

Due to short weather window, three separate crews were worked simultaneously on three work fronts, seven days a week. The excavation required extensive care due to the number of existing belowground utilties.

The entire project was completed with an outstanding safety record without a single first aid.
