CONAM, with native partner Tikigaq, performed an upgrade to the entire NSB Gas Field Communications and Controls System to allow for ‘real time’ communications and control of gas wells.

Work included: upgrade of legacy well sites with new power and control panels; conversion of each site to 120 VAC to 24 VDC power; installation of 2.4 GHz network radios, cabling and antennas; installation of a 24 VDC power back-up; network wireless interface for operators; VoIP enabled communications from each well site; installation of a network controlled methanol injection system; and installation of flow meters and choke valve actuators.

The control system installed included flat screen displays of well site data through a Wonderware software controlled system.
