The work scope required building seprate 452 lf and a 62 lf long bridges over a swale adjacent to the Alpine oilfield, both bridges were 32 feet wide.  Bridge design included steel piling, structural girders topped by a poured concrete deck, guardrail and conduit installations.  The existing temporary bridge was demolished and replaced with a 5 foot elevated ice pad off the swale.

Winter construction was required due to environmental restrictions where innovation and determination were required to process and place 1,350 cubic yards of concrete in (-60) degree F temperatures. To facilitate remote concrete placement, it was also necessary to erect a portable batch plant on site.
